Ok here's the problem im having: I have a '90 Z auto. Anyway after i drive the car for about 10 minutes, i start to hear this sorta whining sound, like air gushing out. The first 10 or so minutes everything is fine and the car runs great. Then after that, i hear this noise just when its about to shift. Im getting tired of it... its a pain... anyway the car also does not feel as strong.
Heres some problems ive had with the car tell me if they could have anything to do with it. (Embarassing) First thing is that i ran over some stupid plastic bags and they got stuck on the exhaust pipes(I Hate TrashTrucks!)... ive tried to get most of it off... but some of it just wont come off! Terrible smell too!! (LOL) Second thing is that when I was changing my air filters (yes filter(s) still have the crappy stock filters) I accidently disconnected the thing thats attached to the air flow meter... turns out that i broke(cracked) the connecter that hooks onto the air flow meter. The car was running terrible as you can imagine... well i rigged up a way to keep it connected (can u say ghetto LOL) and it runs ok now. Heres a pic of it:
So should i change the connecter?? how would i go about doing that because only thing that wrong with it is that it doesn't latch on to the air flow meter, and i believe that theres also some spring that attached to it thats probably lost.(Though I suspect this is not the problem to the noise) Ok well if you guys can figure out why its making that noise let me know.
